This course has been written to help teachers of English to teach young learners. There is very little on theory as we assume that you are familiar with teaching TESOL / TEFL and that you have an accredited TESOL / TEFL certificate. This course will help you to teach young learners of between about 5 and 12.
The course is full of practical ideas and recommendations and by the end of it you’ll feel much better equipped and more confident about teaching a class of active youngsters!
You’ll be assigned a personal tutor and your tutor will support you throughout your course. Wherever you are in the world, you’ll be able to contact your tutor by email, post, Skype or telephone, although email is usually the best way.
There are no examinations, but there are three sets of assignments to complete. You’ll send the assignments (usually by e-mail) to your tutor who will provide you with comprehensive feedback on your work. Your tutor will also respond quickly to any queries that you might have. Our aim is to provide the support you need as you make progress through your course.
You’ll have 12 months to complete your course, although many people will complete it much more quickly. When you have satisfactorily completed your English for Young Learners course you will receive a certificate from TESOL Direct.
We are sure that you’ll find this programme an interesting and practical course!
