The right TESOL course for you

This TESOL-direct TESOL Certificate course is primarily designed for people who are:

The TESOL-direct TESOL Certificate course is an excellent choice for both native and non-native speakers of English.

Please note that our TESOL course is accredited by the College of Teachers and is the higher level Associate of the College of Teachers’ certificate – ACoT (TESOL), not the lower level College of Teachers’ Certificate of Educational Studies - COES (TESOL).

If you want to enrol with TESOL-direct, you need a standard of education that would allow you to take a higher education course. Having a degree is an advantage but not a requirement, so don’t be put off if you have a rather unorthodox collection of qualifications and experiences. Sometimes these can be a distinct advantage!

You need to be competent in the four English language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, but English doesn’t need to be your first language.

You should be at least 18 by the time you complete the course and receive your certificate. Many gap-year students have completed the course and gone on to have very rewarding teaching experiences in different parts of the world. There is no maximum age limit for this course.
