Assignments for Teaching Business English Course

There are assignments at the end of each TBESOL (Teaching Business English to Speakers of Other Languages) module. Students complete these and send them to their course tutor. The normal method is by email attachment but students can also send them by post.

Feedback from course tutors will normally be sent back as an email attachment in a maximum of 10 days, but often feedback is sent out significantly quicker than this.

Feedback is comprehensive and will include careful comments on a student’s work together with suggestions and recommendations. If you send in eight pages of work in answer to the assignments for a module, we will probably send you back about eight pages of feedback on your work.

Tutors provide full support for all students. If an assignment does not reach the required standard, a tutor will return it with comments on how it can be improved and it can then be resubmitted. On rare occasions, this can be done several times.

The assignments consist of a range of different tasks and include the following:

  • Planning what language skills to focus on in a course.
  • Preparing course materials.
  • Planning how to use an article from a business journal.
  • Finding course materials and demonstrating how they should be used with a class of participants.
